Future is built on historyBerndorf AG, an entirely privately owned holding company of highly specialized industrial enterprises, developed from a company called Berndorfer Metallwarenfabrik. This company was founded in 1843 by Alexander Schöller and Hermann Krupp and was located in the same area in the southern part of Lower Austria. Berndorf Band is a subsidiary of Berndorf Hueck Band- & Pressblechtechnik GmbH. Berndorf Band started developing and manufacturing endless steel belts at the beginning of the 20th century. Continuous improvements, innovative manufacturing methods and new materials make it possible to adapt belt characteristics to special customer requirements. The core of Berndorf Band’s business operations is the manufacture of transport and process belts made from carbon steel, special stainless steel or titanium as well as all belt-related services. Berndorf Band offers it’s customers a global network of sales- and service-organisations. Regarding research and development, Berndorf Band stands in close co-operation with universities and competence-centres and attaches great importance to employee training. The export share amounts to over 90 %.
